A brief note on MaD

A brief note on MaD

MAD: MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Why do we need MaD?

Hong Kong is committed to becoming a city of creativity in the region, and young people with creative talent and entrepreneurial ideas will be key to making this a reality.

Inspired by this idea, the founders of MaD spoke to a cross-section of young Hong Kong people, and the response was alarming.

They told us what they thought about themselves, their future and Hong Kong. Their outlook was bleak: full of discontent, low motivation and deeply skeptical of a "bright future". They said:

“There are two types of youth in Hong Kong:

The first type do not go to university, but afterwards they wish they did and they end up in dead-end jobs;

The other type just work work work.”

“Hong Kong pretends to be a World city, making everything quick paced,

but it is all about money, and people have no life.”

This is why we need MaD. MaD is designed to Make a Difference and to make change possible.
