Award Eligibility
Eligibility
Contestants have to demonstrate quantitatively and qualitatively that their initiatives have attained economic1, social, environmental and/or cultural values. The initiatives can be a venture, a project or a campaign, belonging to either or a combination of the following categories:
- arts and culture
- business/economic
- education
- environment protection and conservation
- science and technology
- society
- other
The initiative also has to demonstrate the core MaD values of being creative, compassionate, cosmopolitan and collaborative.
Entry Categories
There will be two categories of entries2:
- full time students (senior secondary school, undergraduate and postgraduate students) aged 16-27
- entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs of commercial, public sector and non-profit making organisations aged 35 or below and students aged 28 – 353
Applications will be team-based, subject to a maximum of 5 members per team4. We accept applications from and outside Hong Kong.
1 By economic value, it means the ability to generate income on a sustainable basis – be it sales, donations or sponsorship.
2 The entry category will be determined by the age/status of the majority of the team members.
3 Contestants should be aged below 30 at the time they launched their ventures/projects.
4 There could be more than 5 members in the implementation team but the application should list out the five core members only.
