BOOKBRIDGE strives for worldwide balanced access to education.

WE SOLVE A SOCIAL PROBLEM IN AN ENTREPRENEURIAL WAY

By collecting children and youth books and setting up teaching libraries in the developing world, our foundation provides access to education and improves the quality of teaching. We thereby aid people to effectively help themselves and become active and responsible members of their communities. Through course offerings to local companies, our teaching libraries be- come financially self-sustained, providing young educators with a place to work.

At BOOKBRIDGE, everyone can make a difference with the donation of just one book. Our volunteering programs currently engage more than 2,500 children at 200 schools in Germany, Switzerland, the UK as well as the United States.

WE EMPOWER COMPANIES TO BUILD THEIR OWN BRIDGE

Our overall organization finances itself by offering two paid programs, enabling companies to build their own bridges and train future leaders for tomorrow‘s markets.

Our Responsibility Program turns companies into hubs of social action. BOOKBRIDGE manages a campaign to collect books from stakeholders of the firm‘s choice. Services include effective CRM, PR campaigning, logistics and support.

Our Capability Program develops future leaders by challenging them with managing the entire project of establishing a teaching library. BOOKBRIDGE provides professional leadership coaches, technical know-how, support, and quality management.

By empowering a firm‘s stakeholders to jointly engage for a social cause, we create positive impact on a firm‘s reputation, team spirit, and bonding with external partners.

WE AIM AT REACHING 3 MILLION PEOPLE BY 2014

Within one year, we setup 4 teaching libraries in Mongolia, trained 250 teachers, and created 9 jobs in the educational sector. In total, we have reached 100,000 people so far. Serving as a social franchise, we aim at establishing 80 teaching libraries in 5 countries, providing 3,000,000 people with access to education by 2014.

BOOKBRIDGE is a registered Non-Profit Organization based in Switzerland and Germany. Our network of 2,500 bridge builders around the world is supported by a dedicated team of 6 professionals based in Freiburg, Germany and Basel, Switzerland.
