Make a Difference Award - Assessment

Make a Difference Award - Assessment

Assessment Process

The Judging Panel will select ten semi-finalist teams for interviews in November. The interviews will take place in Hong Kong, and for teams that are based outside Hong Kong, the interviews will be conducted via video conferences. Out of the 10 semi-finalists, the Judging Panel will select 4 teams for the final presentation at the annual Make a Difference Forum in January.

To encourage and recognize young changemakers, amongst the semi-finalist teams with founders aged 23 or below, the Judging Panel will confer the Rising Star Award to the most outstanding team, irrespective of whether the team can make to the final round.

The Rising Star Award Winner will also be invited to do a presentation at the MaD Forum.

For Finalist/Rising Star teams that are based outside Hong Kong, we will sponsor their trips at up to HK$5,000 for regional travels and up to HK$10,000 for travels outside the region.

Entry Criteria

The entries will be assessed by:

positive economic, social and/or environmental impacts 30%

15%
