Make a Difference Award - Terms and Conditions

All entrants should read carefully these Terms and Conditions prior to entering the Make a Difference (MaD) Award.

  1. Each entrant has to comply with the following:
    1. The entrant fulfills the entry requirements of the MaD Award;
    2. All personal data provided for the purpose of entering into the MaD Award are true and accurate;
    3. The entrant may be required to provide documentary proof of the information provided in the entry;
    4. The Organiser may approach the reference as provided by the entrant to clarify, verify or obtain any information related to the entrant or the entry;
    5. The entrant is the owner of the intellectual property rights in the entry, and does not infringe any intellectual property rights of any person or entity;
    6. The finalists and winners of the MaD Award may be required to take part in the Organiser’s promotional activities;
    7. The information provided in the executive summary of the entry will be made openly available on www.MaD.asia for the online poll, in the event that it is selected as one of the finalists.
  2. The Organiser has the sole discretion and final decision in:
    1. determining whether any entries should be disqualified;
    2. deciding whether the Grand Award, the Merit Awards and the Rising Star Award should be conferred in a particular year.
  3. The Organiser accepts no responsibility for delayed, late or misdirected entries during the online submission process.
  4. The Organiser shall have the right to cancel the MaD Award and /or change the Award criteria, mechanism and prizes in circumstances as deemed necessary without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on www.MaD.asia.
  5. The Award winners will be assessed and selected in accordance with the complete and unfettered discretion of the panel of judges. The Organiser provides no warranty as to the qualifications or expertise of the judges.
  6. Winners of the MaD Award should invest the cash prizes in either their award winning ventures/projects or in learning opportunities that can benefit the development of their ventures/projects.
  7. In the event of any dispute regarding the MaD Award, the decision of the Organiser shall be final.
  8. The MaD Award and the Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Hong Kong.
  9. In case of any discrepancy between the English version and the Chinese version of the MaD Award information on this website, the English version shall prevail.
